Congregational Survey for the Rabbi Search Committee

October 14, 2007 

Dear Oak Park Temple Congregants, 

These survey questions have been taken verbatim from the “Application For Congregational Search For A Rabbi”. These questions, along with others that are fact based, demographic questions, need to be responded to by the Rabbi Search Committee and sent to the Rabbinical Placement Commission of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR). The CCAR will post our application to its online database of rabbis who are seeking congregational positions. Our application will provide information about Oak Park Temple’s values, philosophy, history, community and staff. 

The Rabbi Search Committee needs your help in responding effectively to these very important questions. We are committed to providing responses to CCAR that are truly representative of the opinions and vision of our congregation. 

Please give serious thought to these questions. You may also return hard copies of your responses to the temple office or mail to: Rabbi Search Committee, Oak Park Temple, 1235 N. Harlem Avenue, Oak Park Illinois 60302. 

We need to be certain that all responses are submitted by Oak Park Temple members. Therefore,  please understand that your confidentiality will be respected and that anonymous responses will not be considered.

The Rabbi Search Survey response period ended on January 18, 2008. The Rabbi Search Committee is now working on analyzing and collating the responses in order to complete and file the Oak Park Temple application for a new rabbi by March 1, 2008.
