                                                                                  Welcome to Oak Park Temple

                                                                                  Oak Park Temple B'nai Abraham Zion is one of the oldest Reform congregations in the Chicago area, dating back to the 1919 merger of the Zion Congregation (founded in 1864) and the B'nai Abraham Congregation (founded 1871). Originally known as Washington Boulevard Temple and located on Chicago's West Side, the congregation dedicated its current home at 1235 North Harlem Avenue in 1957 and has since been known as Oak Park Temple B'nai Abraham Zion. Read more about Oak Park Temple.

                                                                                  Scholar-In-Residence

                                                                                  Oak Park Temple is proud to present as our Scholar-In-Residence Professor Kenneth Seeskin from Northwestern University.  Ken's topic is Maimonides, a preeminent medieval Jewish philosopher and one of the greatest Torah scholars of the Middle Ages.  Dr. Seeskin will speak briefly at Shabbat services on Friday April 13th and then more extensively on Sunday April 15th.  There will be a session from 10:30 until noon and another session from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.  A pot luck lunch for attendees will be served in between sessions.  All are encouraged to attend to what promises to be a very interesting and informative lecture.

                                                                                  Oak Park Temple’s Annual Used Book Sale will be Sunday, April 1, from 9a – 1p. We are now accepting donations of any and all kinds of books, DVDs, CDs on all topics for children, teens and adults.  

                                                                                  Donations can be left in our box in the rotunda or you can contact us at Used.Book.Sales6@gmail.com or call 708 848-5518 to arrange for pick up.  New and returning volunteers are needed and welcome, just let us know you are interested.
