            Also, it wouldn’t hurt you should bring a treat to share.
            What could the world look like if we practiced mitzvot by going beyond what is required, beyond our regular way of doing things, with an end goal of making the outcome more beautiful? In Hebrew we call this hiddur mitzvah, the beautification of a mitzvah.
            In the Torah, Bezalel and Oholiab (the artists) were filled with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge and called upon to do the work (mela’khah – the craft, artistry) of building the sanctuary. Thus, artists are called to be at the cutting edge of Jewish life.
